How to become an Intuitive Eating/HAES practitioner in a traditional dietetics environment
with Lauren Newman
In this Month's Webinar, we will focus on:
Starting a difficult conversation with other RDs, preceptors, or health practitioners who are not HAES informed
Learning in a weight-normative classroom or internship experience
Becoming an advocate for including non-diet/IE/HAES curriculum/training at your school or work setting
This webinar is for any RD and dietetic intern who wants to break the mold of traditional dietetics and become an IE/HAES practitioner, while working in a traditional environment where other practitioners may not fully understand the need or see the value.
Lauren Newman is a dietetic intern at the University of Texas at Austin. She is determined to integrate Health at Every Size into the education of future RDs, and is passionate about helping HAES informed interns navigate the internship process. Once licensed, Lauren plans to specialize in the treatment of eating disorders in patients with type 1 diabetes from a Health At Every Size and intuitive eating approach.
