Compassion is one of humanity's greatest gifts.
It allows us to embrace others with an open heart as we move through pain and suffering, together in solidarity.
It expands our perspective of who we are as individuals, because we realize how much in common we have with others than previously thought.
And it allows us to realize that when we help others, we are changed for the better in the process because we are all connected through this continuum of life.
This is one of the true beauties of entrepreneurship.
But what’s most disheartening is when I see this sentiment lost in the noise of our mainstream business world.
When people focus only on the superficial levels of success: number of followers or clients, how big their email list is...and of course, money.
They forget that these are all things that happen as a result of building trust around you, rather than being the focus in itself.
Because it’s not about ‘making it as your own boss’, or ‘getting people to buy into your products or services’.
It’s about tapping into the depths of your inner being to uncover why you’re here on this earth to help.
Ask yourself...what are the unique values and perspective that you want to instill in your audience that can only come from you? What will they find so valuable from you, that they’ll keep coming back to you over and over for?
Only then can you cultivate and grow trust around you - because it will drive you to put yourself out there in a more genuine way, share how much you care, and light the path for others.
